Justice Delayed, Not Denied

You may have heard the phrase, “justice delayed is justice denied.”

That is sometimes true, but sometimes not.

In the case of the crash of the Boeing 737 Max 8 in Ethiopia, justice was a long journey, but justice was not denied. On Sunday night in Chicago before a Monday trial, justice was achieved.

Justice and Accountability

As CBS news and other media outlets reported, “I’m happy for my client. She stood her ground. We are satisfied with the resolution, accountability, and closure,” attorney Mark Lindquist said.

Terms of resolutions with Airlines and airplane manufacturers are generally confidential at the request of the defendants. At Mark Lindquist Law, our cases are primarily aviation and government negligence. Unlike aviation cases, the government litigation is always public. Either way, we vigorously advocate for our clients to win the best result.

This vigorous advocacy, no matter how challenging, is one of the reasons we were voted Best Personal Injury Firm in Pierce County, 2024. We aim for the best results and best service.

Aviation Attorneys

Aviation cases require particular knowledge and experience. Mark and his team have a long history of successful advocacy in aviation cases, including commercial plane crashes, small plane crashes, sexual assaults and serious burns on planes, along with other airborne incidents.

As the Tacoma Weekly wrote about the resolution of the Max 8 crash case, “Belanger is represented by Mark Lindquist of Mark Lindquist Law, a premier local aviation and injury firm. Lindquist served as the elected Pierce County Prosecutor for nearly a decade and earned a reputation as a strong advocate for victims and as a skillful trial attorney. He has been litigating against Boeing on multiple cases for several years. This case came the closest to a trial.”

While less than 5% of cases go all the way to jury trial, the defense has to know your firm has the skills, experience, and fortitude to try the case if necessary. If an aviation firm has those qualities, the case is more likely to resolve fairly and early.

Mark Lindquist Law is driven by the client’s goals. Most aviation cases, and most cases in general, can be resolved much more quickly than the Boeing Max 8 cases. Because we are a boutique firm and selectively limit how many clients we represent, we can focus full resources and energy on all of our cases. Less means more for the client.

Everyone on the team is committed to communication, openness, and client service, as you can see from our reviews.

Aviation Safety

Further, we are strong advocates for aviation safety.

When a plane crashes, whether it’s Jeju Air Flight 2216, which crashed in South Korea, or American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter just outside Ronald Reagan National Airport, or a small Cessna commuter plane that crashed off the coast of Alaska, we study what happened. We apply what we’ve learned from the many other aviation disasters and accidents where we represented victims and their families.

Our firm, along with others, have been advocating for the National Safety Transportation Board to include victim families as parties in the NTSB investigations. We are also cooperating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding the door plug blowout on a Boeing 737 Max 9 Alaska Airlines flight at 16,000 feet.

We represent 35 passengers from the door plug blowout flight and are still accepting clients. This is another major battle for accountability and improvements in aviation safety.

Client Satisfaction, Safer Skies

In the Boeing 737 Max 8 crash, we achieved justice, accountability, and client satisfaction.

We endeavor to achieve justice, accountability, and client satisfaction in every case, whether it’s aviation, government negligence, or another incident of serious injury. In the process, we help make the skies safer for everyone.

Your case is our cause, as we like to say. Consultations are free. We are here to serve.
